Tableting Pro is a leader in the field of specialized manufacturing, delivering cost-effective solutions that streamline processes and optimize performance. As part of our commitment to excellence, we have undertaken a project involving the production of a revolutionary aerosol filling product that has become a staple at parties and celebrations since its inception in the 1970s.
This innovative product is designed to produce a colorful plastic streamer from a can, made from a polymer resin under pressure. The valve is pressed, releasing the material, which dries instantly to form an easy-to-remove ribbon of string that covers those on the receiving end. The development of this seemingly simple product required extensive planning and engineering, which is an area in which Tableting Pro excels.
To create the material that ultimately becomes the string, we utilize a proprietary tableting process that eliminates the risk of cross-contamination between colors. This is a critical concern when working with pigmented powders. Our Paterson Kelley twin shell blender and Colton 250 rotary tablet press are utilized to perform the blending, solvent dispersion, and tableting of the polymer and fluorescent pigment. The addition of a solvent through the intensifier bar as a mist produces a tackified polymer suitable for tableting. The finished 4.4-gram tablets measure 0.75 inches in diameter and 0.83 inches in height, with dimensional, weight, and hardness testing performed throughout production to ensure quality control.
The product is produced in three colors in 5,000 lb. runs, all with lead times of just one week. Our streamlined processes and commitment to excellence enable us to deliver optimal results with quick turnaround times.
