Applications:
Sodium Thiosulfate Tablets are specifically designed for analytical water sampling techniques that require controlled amounts of Sodium Thiosulfate as a de-chlorination agent. These tablets neutralize free halogens in the water sample and prevent the destruction of bacterial organic material before analysis. Each tablet is intended for potable, domestic water sampling of 4 oz (120mL). For other water types, such as recreational, wastewater, surface, or irrigation waters, testing should be conducted to determine the appropriate number of tablets required. Sterilization by means of excess heat or radiation may cause a change in the color of the tablet without affecting its efficacy.
Characteristics & Properties:
Sodium Thiosulfate Tablets are white, round tablets measuring approximately ¼" in diameter. At 25 degrees Celsius, the pH level of the solution is approximately 7 with one tablet per 120 mL. The tablet dissolves completely in approximately 10 minutes or less to form a clear solution. The shelf life of these tablets is 4 years under normal storage conditions.
