Copolywax

‍Copolywax® is a proprietary and micronized formulation of non-reactive materials that possess excellent friction-reducing and binding properties, making it an ideal grinding aid and XRF binder. Hydraulic pellets produced with Copolywax® exhibit high integrity and are "non-dusting" of XRF equipment. In addition, the product eliminates the need for extensive grinders and bowl cleaning since air has been adequate. Re-calibration needs are minimal or even unnecessary. Unlike boric acid that contains metals that can cause interference and yield inconsistent results, Copolywax® is exceptionally stable and free of metals.

Based on field tests and our internal comparative evaluations with competitive materials, Copolywax® outperforms all domestic and foreign products. The product is available in powder and tablet forms, with the powder being useful for pre-ground or micronized test samples and special applications. Tablets, on the other hand, exhibit excellent integrity and tight weight specifications, resulting in time savings during weighing and simplified counting of each sample ground. Initial reports suggest that tablets work well with auto-feeders.

We offer Copolywax® tablets in 500mg (7/16" OD). For typical usage, a 500mg of Copolywax® is added to a 5g test sample, which has proved useful for various applications, including silicon and magnesium alloy steels, ferro-alloys, precious metals, ores, aluminum, and other metallurgicals. Other applications include cement, mining, fertilizers, quartz, coal (whole and ash), refractories, steel, alloys, bag house dust, fly ash, slag, petroleum coke, among others.
